At Martina Children's Hospital by Sophiahemmet in Stockholm, we have gathered together all the health care you would normally find in several different clinics under one roof. We are a paediatric clinic with an emergency ward and paediatric specialist health care center for children between 0 and 18 years old.

 

Martina Children's Hospital is the first private children's hospital in Sweden. It was founded by paediatric nurses and a paediatrician with extensive experience meeting children and parents in the health care system. Our experience is that there are many needs that traditional child health care cannot fulfill. Together we are offering health care for children in a whole new way.

 

The treatment results are obviously the most important to us. But in addition to seeking the best possible treatment, we also present a series of promises to you and your children - what we believe good and safe child health care should also include:

 

Short waiting times and adequate appointment time availability

At Martina, you can decide when you want to come for urgent or scheduled visits, not vice versa. You can expect short wait and treatment times for your child here. In a recent survey, 91% of our patients' waited with parents from 0 to 10 minutes to see the doctor and most of them (71%) less than 5 minutes.

 

See a Children's Specialist directly and always the same doctor

At Martina Children's Hospital all the examinations and treatments are always performed by children specialists. We work exclusively with pediatric nurses and pediatricians along with a variety of children's specialists. Of course, if your prefer, your child can visit the same doctor every time.

 

Safe children are happy children

If the children feel safe, it has an impact on the experience of their visit and it becomes so much easier the next time you have to go to a doctor. Therefore, we have a familiar and friendly environment that is more like a home than a traditional hospital, and where playing and games are a part of the medical visit for the children. At Martina you are visiting a familiar place and we prioritize a thoughtful and respectful treatment.

 

Adequate time for examination and questions

Our experience shows that treatment time and the need for return visits are reduced if we give generous examination time and the opportunity for parents to ask questions. Everyone is a winner – including the child.
